Page overview
When working in your content editor, click menu, and you’ll find pages. From there, you create new pages and manage existing pages.
Navigate between pages
To switch between pages, open the page overview and click the page you want to open. The page you're on will be outlined in blue.
Create a page
To create a new page, click the + new page button.
From the pop-up, you name your page. The page alias, the part that will be visible in the URL, will automatically be created. This alias can be adjusted at any time in the page settings.
⚠️ Make sure to name the page by using letters or a combination of letters and numbers. When pages are just numbers, the order of the pages can get mixed up, or pages can become invisible on the preview and live version of your content.
After this, a pop-up screen will appear that allows you to choose a page template. If none of the templates match your desired result, you can choose the "Start from scratch" to continue with a blank canvas.
💡 Learn more about this in our article creating the first page.
Copy page from other Foleon Doc
If you want to insert pages from other Foleon Docs into your current Doc, click the copy page from other Foleon Doc button.
This will prompt you with a selection screen. Here you can either navigate through your projects and their corresponding Foleon Docs or open a complete overview of all your Docs, regardless of the project they’re in.
When you’ve found the relevant Foleon Doc, select the page(s) you want to insert and click on Insert.
⚠️ When you copy a page from another Foleon Doc, overlays from that page will not be copied over.
Hide a page
All pages are visible to your audience by default, but you can decide to hide a page. This might be useful when you're still finetuning a page but are ready to set live changes to other pages.
In the pages overview, navigate to the page you want to hide for your audience, and click the eye icon. Select hide page.
💡To learn more about this functionality, read our article How to hide pages for your audience.
Save a page as a template
When you hover over a page, you'll see the option to save as template. With this option, you can save this page so you can use it again later in a different Foleon Doc.
📖 Learn more about this in our article Save your Doc as a template.
Duplicate a page
When you hover over a page, you'll see the option to duplicate. With this option, you create a copy of that page. Just so you know, it could take a few seconds before the new page is visible in the overview.
💡 The word “Copy” will be added at the end of a duplicated page, because every page name needs to be unique.
Delete a page
When hovering over a page, you’ll find an option to delete that page. When you click the trash icon, you’ll be asked if you are sure you want to delete the page. When you click Delete, the page gets deleted permanently. There is no option to retrieve it after it has been deleted.
💡 It is not possible to delete a page you’re currently on. First, move to a different page and then try again.
Rename a page
When hovering over the name of a page, you can edit it by clicking on it.
💡 The page alias doesn’t automatically update when a page name is edited. The alias can be updated manually in the page settings.
Change the page order
At the top of the page thumbnail, you’ll find a drag icon. Click on this icon and hold it to drag the page to a different place in the overview.
