In a nutshell, Zapier lets you push data from one app to another. In our case, it allows you to send information acquired through Foleon forms to any of the 5,000+ other apps connected to Zapier.
By using our Zapier integration, you’ll no longer have to export Foleon form submissions and import them somewhere else manually. This whole process will be automated, leaving you more time to focus on creating content.

How to connect Foleon to Zapier
We’ll walk you through the basics of connecting Foleon to Zapier. In this example, we’re creating a Zap that automatically pushes information acquired through a feedback form in one of our news updates to HubSpot.
To start, you’ll first need to log in to an existing Zapier account or create a new account. Check out the Plans & Pricing page from Zapier to learn more about the possibilities.
When logged in, start by creating a new Zap. Navigate to the left-hand side of the screen and click on Create Zap. This will take you to the Zapier editor, where you can start setting up your Zap.
Next, search for "Foleon" and select it as the Trigger.
⚠️ If you’re not seeing Foleon as an option, please check our Zapier integrations page.
Continue by selecting New Form Submission as the event.
For each form field, open the Text field settings, click on General settings, and scroll down to Field name. We advise setting the following field names if you’re looking to collect any of these reader details:
- Full name = Field name "name"
- Email address = Field name "email" (see example below)
- Phone number = Field name "phone"
- Company name = Field name "company"
- Job title = Field name "job"
This makes sure this data gets transferred to Zapier correctly.
Next, you’ll have to connect Foleon to Zapier. Click on Choose an account and then on + Connect a new account at the bottom of the pop-up window.
You're then prompted to log in to your Foleon account.
After logging in, allow Zapier access by clicking on Allow.
Once your Foleon account is connected, select the project, Foleon Doc, and the form you want to use in this Zap.
⚠️ You can only pick one form per Zap. If you have multiple forms, you’ll have to create a separate Zap for each of them.
Once you’ve selected a form, Zapier will look for sample data to continue setting up your Zap. It’s important for your form to have at least one submission so you can properly Test your trigger. Click on Test trigger.
You'll see a success message if Zapier finds a recent form submission. Click on Continue.
You'll now see the Actions menu. An action is an event a Zap performs after it starts.
In this example, we want to send information acquired through a form to HubSpot. In the Actions menu, search for "HubSpot" and select the app.
You’ll be prompted with different action options based on the Action App you chose. In this example, we want to create a new contact in HubSpot for each new Foleon form submission. We’ll opt for the action Create Contact.
After this step, you’ll have to allow Zapier to access the Action App. In our example, the action app is HubSpot. Once you’ve done that, you can continue by setting up the Zap template. This is where you map the sample information acquired through Foleon to the Action App.
In our case, we want to populate the Contact Email form field on HubSpot with information acquired through our Foleon form’s Email Address field.
After you’ve set up the template, test your Zap by running it. If your test is unsuccessful, Zapier will notify you about what went wrong. If you were successfully able to test your Zap, Zapier will notify you when the test was sent.
This means you’ve set up the Zap correctly. Your last step is to Publish.
After you’ve published your Zap, it will automatically start processing and transferring reader information to your chosen app.
