With the marketing add-on, you can integrate Hubspot pop-up forms for lead generation. Unlike gates, these forms will stay out of the reader's way but follow them through their journey until filled out or dismissed. In this article, we’ll show you how to add a HubSpot pop-up form to your content.

What is a HubSpot pop-up form?
With the HubSpot pop-up form tool, you can create engaging lead capture forms to attract new leads. You can use pop-up forms with any blog post, landing page, or website page hosted on HubSpot.
⚠️ Since May 16th 2024, HubSpot requires you to add domains for external pages that have embedded HubSpot forms. This means you'll have to add the domains on which you host Foleon content to Hubspot as additional site domains. If you don't, form submissions from your Docs on domains that have not been added will be filtered to your spam submissions. Learn here how.
To add pop-up forms to Foleon, you must install the HubSpot tracking code in the project settings. We go over the process in this article.
What to do in HubSpot
In HubSpot, go to the top left and select the tab Marketing. From there, go to Lead Capture and then Forms. Then, click create form in the top right corner.
You will see the option to choose from a regular form or a pop-up form. Select Pop-up Form and hit Next (in the top right corner). Then choose the type of pop-up form (shown below).
Once you have selected your type, click Next. Continue filling out the criteria and clicking Next until you reach the Targeting tab.
In this section, set the parameters to read WHEN: WEBSITE URL_ IS_ and then provide the published Foleon URL for that Foleon Doc (pictured above).
Go through the rest of the tabs and then hit Publish.
Connect to Foleon
Get your Hub ID from HubSpot. Click on your account name in the upper right, and copy your Hub ID.
Go to Foleon and open the project settings for the relevant project. Then scroll down to HubSpot ID and paste in your Hub ID.
💡 The HubSpot Hub ID is needed for this integration, but now you will also be able to track reader engagement on contact timelines in HubSpot. Learn more about HubSpot page tracking here.
Make sure to save your changes and republish your content.
