By setting up your users, you manage who has access to your account and what they can do in Foleon. In this article, we show you how to add and manage your users.
đź’ˇ Adding and managing users is only possible if you're an admin in an account.

Managing users
In the dashboard, you access users through the panel on the left.
This takes you to an overview of the users in your account. From here, you edit roles, delete users, and invite new users to Foleon.
đź’ˇ Depending on your plan, you have access to different user roles. In addition, each plan has a limit on the number of users. If you want to upgrade your plan to improve governance with additional user roles, contact your Customer Success Manager or success@foleon.com. Alternatively, you can read more about our plans on our pricing page.Â
Depending on your plan, these user roles fit into three types: premium, standard, and free — on which you can filter.
💡 One of the main differences between Premium and Standard users is that Standard users can only work in the Content Builder. Reviewers are an exception; they can't create any content.
Read on to learn more about the different user roles and how they determine what you can (and can not) do in Foleon.Â
Invite new user
Admins can invite new users with the +Invite new user button. Fill out the name and email address, and assign a role. Click invite, after which an activation link will be sent to the new user’s email address.
When you've set up single sign-on (SSO) for the Foleon platform and you want to invite new SSO users, learn all about it here.Â
⚠️ Is your account divided into different workspaces? You can only invite new users when you're an admin in the main workspace — not when you're an admin in a regular workspace.Â
If the email gets lost, you can resend the activation link by clicking resend invite. Please remember to check your spam folder.
Â
Edit a user's login details
Each user can change their own email address. This can be done in the profile settings on the dashboard. Click on your initials in the top left corner of the dashboard, then click see profile.
On this page, you can change the basic information and the user password. Only users themselves can change or reset their passwords.
Confirmation of the change will be sent to the old email address. Once confirmed, the new email address will receive an activation link.Â
đź’ˇ Read more about your profile settings in our article Set up your account.
User status
Once you've invited a user to Foleon, they will show up in the user overview of your account or workspace. A user can have two different statuses:
- Active — The user has activated their account. This status also applies to users who log in with Single Sign-On (SSO)for the Foleon platform. If SSO has been enabled for the Foleon platform, it's still possible to create non-SSO users. Remember, they will count toward the total user count. The same applies to when you're using workspaces.
- Inactive— The user has not activated their account yet.
User information
In the user information section, you'll find information such as when the user account was added, last updated, and when they were last active.
Click the "i" icon in the user overview, opening a pop-up window on the left-hand side of your screen.Â
Working with user roles
Depending on your plan, you can choose from several user roles when adding new users to your account: admin, designer, publisher, publisher (Content Builder), editor, editor (Content Builder), personalizer, and reviewer. Each role has a fixed set of permission settings.
Depending on your plan, these user roles fit into three seat types: premium, standard, and free.
