On July 1, 2023, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) replaced Google’s Universal Analytics (UA).
This means marketers and web analysts worldwide who were familiar with Universal Analytics have migrated to a GA4 setup.
Because UA and GA4 are different platforms, you won't keep the historic data (UA) and new data (GA4) in one place. If you still need to, we recommend migrating your data to GA4 to avoid missing out on data.
⚠️ Republish all live Foleon Docs in your project when you switch from UA to GA4. If you don't do this, the new GA4 code won't be implemented into your live content — meaning you will miss out on data.
To set up GA4, follow the steps in our article Set up Google Analytics 4 for your Docs.
To learn which steps to take in Google Analytics, we recommend reading Google's documentation: [GA4] Make the switch to Google Analytics 4.
